Amanda is 39 weeks gestation and has arrived in the birthing suite experiencing painful, regular uterine contractions in the first stage of labour.
 
  Her previous obstetric history shows two spontaneous vaginal births, experiencing a postpartum haemorrhage with her first birth and her current antenatal history is: negative blood group, non-immune to rubella, nil antibodies and normal BPs during this pregnancy. The correct procedure is to:
  a. attend a CTG to determine the FHR.
  b. attend intermittent auscultation every 15 minutes with a Pinard stethoscope or Doppler.
  c. attend intermittent auscultation every 5 minutes with a Pinard stethoscope or Doppler.
  d. perform continuous CTG monitoring.
