A patient in the transition phase of labor is requesting fentanyl (Sublimaze) for pain. How should the nurse respond to this request?
 
  A) I will page the provider and ask for your pain medication.
  B) You are so close to delivery, don't you want to have natural child birth?
  C) Pain medication given now might cause the baby to have slow respirations and is not recommended. Let's try to focus and breathe.
