Answer to Question 1

ANS: B
If only one pill is missed, it can be taken as soon as the woman remembers, even as late as the next day. If more than one is missed, however, effectiveness may be impaired, and other contraceptive measures may be necessary.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: D
A history of thrombophlebitis contraindicates the use of oral contraceptives. Past smoking, cause of parental deaths, and asthma are not contraindications.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
