Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
Diaphragms must be fitted properly to be effective. A significant weight gain or loss may alter the necessary size. Spermicides should be used with the diaphragm. The diaphragm should not be used during menstruation because of the risk of toxic shock syndrome. The diaphragm should not be left in place longer than 24 hours.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A
The female condom covers the cervix and part of the perineum. It is less likely to tear than a male condom and offers better protection against infection. It should not be used with a male condom.
