Laboratory findings in respiratory alkalosis include reduced PCO2 (35?9?mm?9?Hg) and elevated plasma pH (>7.45).

ANS: B
Metabolic alkalosis results in an elevated plasma pH (normal pH is 7.357.45) that occurs when there is an excess of bicarbonate (normal HCO3 is 2226).
