Answer to Question 1

ANS: A, C, E
The three systems most commonly affected in the high-risk newborn are the circulatory, respiratory, and neurological systems.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: C
Cleft lip and cleft palate usually are accompanied by feeding problems. Breastfeeding is possible for some babies, whereas others will need specially adapted nipples. There are resources for parents to deal with the emotional aspects of the defect, including how to word birth announcements, but this is not the priority. The Pavlik harness is used with long-bone fractures. Dressing changes and/or wound care would be a priority after surgical correction.
