Remote services see little direct customer contact. Hence, facilities should be designed to facilitate employee's efforts. In contrast, self-service facilities should be designed to attract customers and enhance satisfaction. Interpersonal services should be developed with the needs of both parties in mind and should facilitate the social interaction between and among customers and employees.
