The company should establish frequent contact between the home-country headquarters and the regional office. Such contact serves as a means to better coordinate activities and ensure clear communication of expectations in both directions. Managers should be rotated to different assignments to obtain the maximum benefit from international experience. In general, moving expatriates from one subsidiary to another will offer a valuable exchange in information to be sued as input into the control function. Finally, the company should train the employees and inculcate a management culture that is consistent with company goals and objectives.
