T
Countries in East Africa formerly colonized by Belgium share a common second language (French), as well as extensive economic and political ties with the former colonist. This may be found in the A History of Common Economic and Political Dominance section (4-1b).

Answer to Question 2

A manufacturer may charge different prices in different markets for the same product to meet the needs of target consumers who have a limited purchasing power, to keep the product price competitive in markets that are actively targeted by competition, due to changes in the exchange rate in countries where the products are sold, due to the fact that it offers discounts to wholesalers buying higher quantities, or due to differences in wholesale prices in different markets.
