Although embargoes are a way for governments to erect nontariff barriers, embargoes are not a form of currency control. This may be found in the Nontariff Barriers section (3-2b).

Answer to Question 2

D
Governments are entitled to impose anti-dumping duties on merchandise when it has been determined that price discrimination has occurred and that a particular local industry was injured by the dumping activity. Similar to these are countervailing duties, which are imposed on subsidized products imported into the country.
