Answer to Question 1

F
Quotas specify a maximum quantity or a value of a product that may be imported during a specified period. Quotas are administered either on a global first-come, first-served basis or on a bilateral basis to restrict shipments from a specific supply source.

Answer to Question 2

Individuals from cultures with a low context of communication use formal, direct communication that is verbally expressed, while individuals from cultures with a high context of communication use less verbal information to convey the message, relying instead on cues such as gestures and facial expressions. In the latter case, information such as status of the speaker, individual background, values, associations are very important in completing the message conveyed, thus linking the message to the context in which it was delivered. Negotiators from high-context cultures, such as those of Latin America and Asia, are less programmatic and less rigid, especially in time management, contract signing, and closing deals, while negotiators from low-context cultures follow Western logic, with the negotiation terminating when an agreement is formally reached and in writing. Furthermore, individuals from high-context cultures are less confrontational and place greater emphasis on interpersonal interaction than individuals from low-context cultures.
