For example, McCann Erickson follows Coca Cola into every country in an attempt to prevent competitors from stealing away the account. In the Obstacles to Internationalizatio n the competition is shown to erect barriers to new entrants in a market. This can be done through blocking channels of distribution, binding retailers into exclusive agreements, slashing prices, etc.
