Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

B
Competitive pressure in the growth stage causes the firm to develop product variants. Toward the end of the growth stage, it also causes the firm to seek cost savings through developing economies of scale. It is important for the firm to have economies of scale as it enters the mature stage of the IPLC.
