Answer to Question 1

True

Answer to Question 2

The channel must be design to meet the requirements of the intended customer base, coverage, long-term continuity of the channel once it is established, and the quality of coverage to be achieved. Having determined the basic design of the channel, the international marketer will then decide on the number of different types of intermediaries to use and how many of each type, or whether to use intermediaries at all, which would be the case in direct distribution. The process is important because the majority of international sales involve distributors, and channel decisions are the most long-term of all marketing decisions.
