In a two-factor repeated measures factorial ANOVA summary table, where is the error term for the main effect of Factor A listed?
 
  a. after the last main effect (Factor B)
  b. after the interaction term (A x B)
  c. just before the total
  d. immediately following the main effect for Factor A

Question 2

If a repeated measures experiment with three independent variables was analyzed using the analysis of variance, what would be the appropriate error term for evaluating the main effect of variable C?

Answer to Question 1

D
In the summary table, each error term is listed immediately after the main effect it is compared with in order to make it easier to compute the F ratio for each main effect.

Answer to Question 2

A
Each main effect is evaluated by comparing the variance associated with it to the variance associated with the interaction effects of it within subjects.
