The degrees of freedom for the interaction of a between subjects factorial ANOVA is (a - 1)(b - 1). N - 1 is the degrees of freedom for the sum of squares total, and ab(n - 1) is the degrees of freedom for the error term.

Answer to Question 2

B
The degrees of freedom for any main effect in a factorial ANOVA is the number of levels of that variable minus 1.
