A study of matched pairs of participants reported the results of a related measures t test. If there were 25 participants in one condition and 25 participants in the other conditions, how many degrees of freedom were there?

Question 2

In a pretest posttest design, there are 15 participants who each take both the pretest and posttest. How many degrees of freedom are present?

For a related measures t test, df = N - 1, where N equals the number of paired scores.
