Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

A matched-subjects design uses a different group of participants for each treatment condition but attempts to match the participants in each group one-to-one with the participants in every other group. Thus, the matched-subjects design attempts to remove problems caused by individual differences by matching participants across groups. Also, the matched-subjects design avoids all of the problems from time-related threats because each individual participates in only one treatment condition and is measured only one time.
