Answer to Question 1

The Bonferroni adjustment is a means of setting a more stringent alpha level in order to minimize Type I errors. It is calculated with the following formula .05/c, where c = the number of comparisons. For a study with four groups, the Bonferroni adjustment would be .05/4 = .0125 . Thus, a comparison would not be considered significant unless the t score was large enough that p  .0125.
