Answer to Question 1

The case study method involves making an in-depth study of one or more individuals in the hope of revealing things that are true of all of us. This differs from the observational method in that this method simply involves observing humans or other animals. Thus, the case study method has slightly more control, but less flexibility. In addition, the case study method often involves smaller sample sizes (sometimes only one person) than the observational method.
