The Protestant ethic is the set of values held by early Protestants that included the belief that work and plain living are moral virtues and idleness and indulgence are sinful.

Answer to Question 2

The sacred consists of events and things that we hold in awe and reverencewhat we can neither understand nor control. The profane represents all that is routine and taken for granted in the everyday world, things that are known and familiar and that we can control, understand, and manipulate.
