How do structural functionalism and conflict theory differ in their views of socialization?

Answer to Question 1

Structural functionalism views socialization as positive for everyone in society, as it promotes conformity to social norms and values. Conflict theory views socialization as beneficial for those with power in society since it promotes acceptance of the status quo, including inequality.

Answer to Question 2

Without proper socialization, children don't learn basic human behaviors like laughing and showing love; even with intervention, they may never learn those skills.
