The following are suggested areas for students to address in their essays: Define global stratification.

Relate industrialization with low-income countries. Relate industrialization with middle-income countries. Relate industrialization with high-income countries.

Provide a personal perspective on wealth and poverty in the United States. Encourage students to provide any personal experience with low-income and/or middle-income countries in their responses.
