Answer to Question 1

False

Answer to Question 2

Eventually all of us will be affected by aging. Aging is the physical,

psychological, and social processes associated with growing older. In the

United States and some other high-income countries, older people are

the targets of prejudice and discrimination based on myths about aging.

Almost 90 percent of the people living in the high-income countries today

are expected to survive to age 65 . In the United States, about 85 percent

of the women and 77 percent of the men born between 1995 and 2000

are expected to survive to that age. By sharp contrast, in low-income

countries such as Zambia, Uganda, and Rwanda, nearly half of the total

population in each nation is not expected to survive to age 40.
