Norms make behavior predictable.We are socialized to follow norms, to play the basic roles that society assigns to us.Without norms, we would have social chaos.Norms bring about social order.

Answer to Question 2

We imagine how we appear to those around us.We interpret others' reactions.We develop a self-concept.
