Cultural universals are the similar cultural solutions in different societies for similar problems of survival.

Question 2

Sam's daughter Rachael was in a terrible auto accident. She is in a coma and her life is being supported through modern medical technology.
 
  Some members of the family have suggested that she be taken off life support which means that she would probably die. Sam doesn't know what's right or wrong in this situation and he doesn't know what to do. This is an example of culture lag.
