Theoretical knowledge  professionals need to understand their field, not just have technical training in it; self-regulating practices  professionals have a code of ethics; Authority over clients  professionals are qualified to advise clients and expect them to obey the directions; Community Orientation  professionals have a duty to the community beyond seeking personal income.
