Answer to Question 1

D

Answer to Question 2

random  participants chosen by an arbitrary method such as putting slips of papers with names into a container; every element must have an equal chance of selection. Systematic  choose every nth (e.g. 10th or 15th) from a list. Stratified  divide the population into different groups (e.g. whites, blacks, etc) and choose from each group. Cluster  choose certain geographic areas (clusters) then study everyone (or a sample of) those in the specific clusters. Purposive  study those who have certain characteristics of interest to the researcher.
