ANSWER: There is general agreement, as put forth by those with power to influence the larger society,
about how to perceive and value the characteristics of our own and other's social groups

sexual orientation, religion, social class, ability, age, and nationality. Social identities affect our
values, worldviews, attitudes, behaviors, and experiences in the world
