1. The growing divide between owners and workers. Possible examples include the gap between the rich and the poor in countries around the world.
2. A continual crisis of profit for owners. Modern examples could include companies shifting labor to other countries, etc.
3. Workers driven to the level of subsistence. Possible examples include the difficulty workers have in making ends meet such as current housing crisis, food prices, gas hikes, the decline of the middle classes, etc.
4. Greater solidarity and class consciousness among workers. Current examples could be food riots around the world, protests at global economic summits, etc. Counter examples could include the collapse of union power, etc.

Conclusion that restates main position and ties to other concepts in the chapter (5 points).
