Answer to Question 1

Social-conflict theory highlights the role of inequality in environmental problems. This includes Marxist class-conflict theory, which claims that the capitalist economy harms the environment as elites increase economic productivity in search of greater personal profits. It also includes environmental racism theory, which states that the poorand especially minoritiessuffer most from environmental hazards, a pattern known as environmental racism.
Structural-functional theory looks at the connection between environmental issues, technology, and culture. In the same way that the problems of the environment are created by the operation of society, society also has the ability to adapt to change or to correct environmental problems.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
