What is the best way to lessen trauma to the turbinates during the insertion of a nasopharyngeal airway?
 
  a. use a twisting and upward motion
  b. slide it along the floor of the nasal cavity
  c. point the bevel away from the septum
  d. do not use any lubricant as it causes irritation
