An IVPB is infusing at 0.5 mcg/min. The solution concentration is 50 mcg in 100 mL NS. What is the pump setting in mL/h? Round the answer to the nearest whole number.

60 mL/hr.

Global rationale: mL/hr = 100 mL/50 mcg x 0.5 mcg/1 min x 60 mins/1 hr. Multiply the numerators and then divide by the denominators. The pump setting is 60 mL/hr.
