Therefore, baseball players, javelin throwers, bowlers, tennis players, racquetball players, gymnasts, and swimmers are extremely susceptible to joint disorders of the elbow. (Other answers may apply.) Athletes should be educated in the proper use of body mechanics to avoid unnecessary stress and/or overuse of the joint.
