Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Although Elizabeth Gershoff concluded, after reviewing eighty-eight studies, that corporal punishment was strongly associated with such negative behaviors and experiences as low internalization of moral rules, aggression, delinquent and antisocial behavior, and low-quality parent-child relationships, Diana Baumrind and colleagues challenged those findings. Baumrind took exception to the fact that Gershoff included studies in which the punishment used was more severe than most parents would administer. When those studies were dropped from the analysis, the relationship between corporal punishment and subsequent aggressive behavior by children was still positive but considerably weaker. Baumrind et al. concluded that the current research did not support a blanket condemnation of spanking.

Your skin wrinkles if you stay in the bathtub a long time because the outermost layer of skin (which consists of dead keratin) swells when it absorbs water. It is tightly attached to the skin below it, so it compensates for the increased area by wrinkling. This happens to the hands and feet because they have the thickest layer of dead keratin cells.

For about 100 years, scientists thought that peptic ulcers were caused by stress, spicy food, and alcohol.
