Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

The advantages of using selected-response tests are that they allow you to cover large amounts of information in a short time, and they are easy to score consistently. Selected-response tests have several disadvantages. First, most teachers write only knowledge-level questions that do not encourage students to engage in meaningful learning. Second, although there is some indication of what the student has learned, there is no indication of what the student can actually do with that knowledge. Third, these tests only require that the examinee recognize the correct answer, rather than recall it from memory.
