Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Key considerations include the following:
Digital evidence is vulnerable to extreme temperatures, humidity, physical trauma, static electricity, and magnetic fields.
Digital evidence can be time sensitive, because some data are intended for only temporary storage and may be overwritten on a regular basis.
Digital evidence may be lost if the device loses power.
Data on some devices, such as mobile phones, can be overwritten or deleted even after the device is seized, if it remains in the range of a communication signal. Specifically, software exists for mobile phones that can be remotely activated to render the phone unusable if it is lost or stolen. For this reason, all such devices should be transported and stored in signal-blocking material, such as aluminum foil or a faraday isolation bag.
After collection, digital evidence should be inventoried and stored in a secure and climate-controlled environment. Any subsequent access to the evidence should be documented with a chain of custody form.
