Answer to Question 1

Because the growth spurt of girls occurs about two years earlier than that of boys, girls are taller and heavier (on the average) from age ten to age fourteen.

Answer to Question 2

The benefit of studying worked examples seems to lie in acquiring a general problem schema that helps the learner solve other similar problems in the future.
