Answer: They should discuss Ken's expectations for Ruth's decision making and the degrees of freedom he is willing to give Ruth. Areas of potential concern include hiring, marketing, customer relations, and company policy. How much freedom does she have to deviate from the articulated norms, and what are Ken's expectations for those areas where there is no written policy?

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Ruth needs to learn more about the rules and regulations of the company as well as the resources available to her. She also needs to ask for information about her performanceis Ken satisfied or dissatisfied? Ken needs to explain his expectations, the company policies, and procedures.
