Answer to Question 1

Integrative bargaining attempts to create a win-win solution. The parties involved in integrative bargaining have congruent interests. Integrative bargaining is characterized by high information sharing and a long-term focus. To be successful, integrative bargaining needs parties who are open with information and candid about their concerns, a sensitivity in both parties to the other's needs and trust, and a willingness by both parties to maintain flexibility. These conditions seldom exist in organizations therefore negotiations often take on a win-at-any-cost dynamic.

Answer to Question 2

B
Explanation: B) Power equalization, when referred to in OD, means that effective organizations de-emphasize hierarchical authority and control.
