Answer to Question 1

Answer: The story should describe a situation when an actor acted with moderate assertiveness and moderate cooperativeness in response to a conflict situation. Strong answers incorporate an analysis of the situational factors that determine that appropriateness of the response (i.e., importance of the relationship, importance of the issue, relative power of the actors, and the time sensitivity of the issue).
