Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

Within the context of social cognitive theory, self-control refers to people's ability to control their actions in the absence of external rewards or punishments. A child who empties a kitchen trash container, even though a parent is not present to make such a request or praise the child for doing so, is exhibiting self-control.
