a.Research conducted in commonly accepted educational settings involving normal educational practices (classroom instruction, etc.)
b.Research involving the use of educational tests, surveys, and observation (if subjects aren't identified or the results aren't disclosed outside the research setting)
c.Research involving the use of educational tests, surveys, observation, etc. (if the subjects are elected or appointed public officials or federal statues require that the confidentiality of the personally identifiable info. be maintained).
d.Research involving the collection of study of existing data, documents, records (if these sources are publicly available of if the info is recorded in such a way that subjects cannot be identified.
e.Research conducted by or approved by department or agency heads, and designed to study or evaluate public or service programs, procedures for obtaining the services, and changes in these programs.
