Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

The traditional model of the communication process focuses on senders of information encoding their ideas into symbols, putting out information to other people, using communication channels efficiently, and getting past barriers in the communication channel. It also focuses on recipients interpreting the symbols and giving a response or feedback from information they receive. The process assumes that telling and receiving are the primary purpose; feedback or dialogue is secondary.
The traditional model helps us diagnose communication problems at each stage in the process. It helps us to be aware of our language. The sender may not know clearly what needs to be transmitted and may choose communication symbols (words, pictures, metaphors, tone of voice, gestures) that are ineffective in delivering a clear message. Barriers to communication may get in the way of sending or receiving the information. The term noise is simply any disruption that interferes in the communication process. Traditionally with this model, noise is seen as coming from outside the message sender or the receiver. However, the perceptions and biases of sender and receiver also may interfere with the intended message.
