Answer to Question 1

FALSE

Answer to Question 2

Altruism is the willingness to look out for others by taking actions that result in benefits to them. The Golden Rule says: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Altruism is an innate characteristic, whereas the Golden Rule functions on values that are based on learned behavior. While altruism is selfless behavior, the Golden Rule hints at some amount of expectations from people. The principles at work here are love and accountability to each other. On the other hand, an altruistic person is not accountable for his altruism; and his faith and love are the driving force. (Student answers may vary.)
