Answer to Question 1

Thank you

Answer to Question 2

The causes of salience include being novel, being figural, and being inconsistent with other people's expectations. Being novel is anything that makes a target unique in a situation. Being figural is standing out from the background by virtue of being bright or illuminated, changing, moving, sitting or standing in a prominent place, or seeming to be complex. Being inconsistent with other people's expectations involves behaving or looking in a way that is out of the ordinary.
