Committed employees who agree with the organizations goals and values are less likely to quit, and are more willing to make sacrifices for their organization. There are several things a manager can do to build organizational commitment, including:
1 Enrich jobs -give employees some control over how they do their work.
2 Align the interests of the organization with those of the employees -achieving organizational goals also benefits the employees.
3 Recruit employees whose values closely match those of the organization -by investing in recruitment, an organization can better hire employees whose values and goals match those of the organization.
