Answer to Question 1

Alternative dispute resolution is a non-legal, less expensive means for settling disputes. It may involve a mediator who will work together with Jose and the manager to reach a settlement. The mediator, a neutral party, may examine Joses performance appraisal records and the plants record of minority hiring and discuss settlement alternatives with both parties. Or it may involve arbitration, where a neutral party listens to the facts presented by Jose and the plant manager and then makes a final, binding decision.

Answer to Question 2

FALSE
