Answer to Question 1

The members of physical teams generally work together in the same organization and have some face-to-face contact. Often they work in the same physical location. Virtual teams operate across space, time, and organizational boundaries communicating with each other only through electronic technology. Their projects are limited to those that do not require face-to-face interaction or organizational control. Such projects as software development, defense research, and political campaigns can utilize input and expertise from team members located across the world, from a variety of organizations, with a diverse set of skills.
