Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

Operant conditioning assumes that behavior that results in positive consequences will tend to be repeated. Alternatively, behavior that is not reinforced or which results in noxious consequences will not be repeated. The principles of operant conditioning can be used to encourage attendance and punctuality in several ways. Merit increases, parking privileges, lottery tickets, etc. can be given based on attendance and punctuality (positive reinforcement). When making work assignments, the manager can avoid giving unpleasant tasks to the employees with perfect attendance and punctuality records (negative reinforcement). If the organization provides coffee and donuts at the start of each shift, remove these promptly at the beginning of the shift so that they arent available for latecomers (extinction). Employees with excessive absences and tardiness can be fired or have their pay docked (punishment).
